dream – cooking genetically engineered vegetables
I should start writing my dreams out again. They haven't been unpleasant, but are mainly associated with a work activity for jobs that would be new to me, or to most anyone.Last night I was working for a research facility, most likely the one associated with the Hadron Collider. The work would be fascinating, but my attention was on other people and their complex relationships and discussions. All the while, as I watched and listened to people and their emotions, I was attempting to nuke some large green and orange vegetable in the microwave. It would not cook evenly because it was too dense. In my mind it was a cross between carrots and broccoli that took a form that resembled a kohlrabi (round with things sticking out of it) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kohlrabi. Thinking about it today, I'd say it was like a giant everlasting gobstopper from the original "Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory." I couldn't cook it through to the center. I don't imagine it tasted fine either.
