Programming

Dear Internet,

I love you.  I hate you.  You entertain me.  You frustrate me.  Are you smarter than me?  Can I stay caught up?  You’re deep and you’re shallow.  There’s never an end to:

As I sit glued to the keyboard and staring at my screen, I ask myself:

  1. Is there a real world anymore?
  2. Are there books made of paper?
  3. Does music still play on the radio?
  4. Are there still brick and mortar stores?
  5. Are there still movie theatres?
  6. Are there still TV commercials …
  7. and scheduled programming?
  8. How do friends chat without IM?
  9. And do couples really cyber without video cams?

I know the time and temperature by looking at my taskbar.  Why would I go outside?  Do people actually get in their cars to visit different towns?  Do they still fly in airplanes to visit different countries?  Do they visit?  Or do they send “missing you” cards?  Do they send them by post?

Mommy!  How did people send email before they had computers?
